Rude boys from illinois, e3po is a 3-5 piece band created by singer/songwriter Eric Swanson, hailing from the southlands of Chicago, blending his reggae rawk music with traces of whatever he can find... dub, pop punk, americana and more! Swanson formed the band in early 2008 after the disbanding of his former group the illsauce out of Bozeman, Montana and relocating from Montana back to Illinois. Since then e3po has been grinding pavement from coast to coast with the steam of a locomotive. e3po has an every changing groove characterized by different members of the group ranging from steel drums to horns. "I'm always searching for makes me bob MY head...., if I don't feel it... I can't play it. I treat each and every song as it's own person, and respect it, with out respect you got nothing." says Swanson. The smooth reggae style and point-punch lyrics of the e3po's sound resonate loudly and remain in the brain forever. "I feel like I should be sitting on a beach with cocktail..."-AS (said of the e3po acoustic show). e3po released their first demo in early '08 called "all she needs" which was followed by their sophmore 2009 release of the "rewind ep". Both albums were self produced by the band and largely in part recorded in the back of a tee shirt shop or in a bed room giving it a very raw sound.
